16.8pc growth of remittance inflow till Dec 1 of FY26

DHAKA, Dec 02, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 16.8 percent (pc), reaching US$13,149 million during the July to December 1 of the current fiscal year (FY26), according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.
 
The amount was $11,261 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year 2024-25.
 
During the first day of December, expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $110 million remittances.
