LALMONIRHAT, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit his motorbike in Shrutidhar Dargahpara area under Kaliganj upazila of the district on Saturday noon.
The deceased was Mahbub Rahman, 48, son of the late Zafar Ali of that area.
The accident occurred on the Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway when a drum truck hit the motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving its rider Mahbub injured critically, said Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zakir Hossain.
Locals rescued him and took him to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his family last night.
