Three bakeries fined in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Nov 12, 2025 (BSS) - Three bakeries have been fined Taka 75,000 for producing and storing bakery products without a license and in a dirty and 
unhygienic environment at Nakla upazila of the district this afternoon.

A mobile court led by Nakla Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Md. Jahangir Alam 
conducted a drive in the poura town area and fined the owners of Ratul, Al-
Momin and Al-Qayyum Bakeries a total of Taka 75,000 for producing and storing bakery products without license from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing 
Institution (BSTI) and in a dirty and unhygienic environment.

The UNO said such campaigns will continue regularly to protect people's 
health and safety and their interest.
