Minor girl dies, 34 fresh dengue cases detected overnight

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS)  - Health officials today said they recorded 34 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts, killing a minor girl in the past 24 hours.

Chattogram District Civil Surgeon's Office confirmed the death of a 10-year-old girl , named Nadia Jannat Taskia.   The total death from dengue disease stood at 22 this year, the Civil Surgeon's Office sources said. 

Taskia was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Tuesday and passed away during treatment on the same day.

In the past 24 hours, 34 new cases of Dengue were reported in Chattogram district, confirmed by Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam.  
 
This year, a total of 3,983 people were hospitalized for Dengue in Chattogram, leading to 22 deaths. Among them, 2,098 are men, 1,176 are women, and 709 are children.
 
“Currently, 22 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city,” Dr. Jahangir Alam said.
