RSSP begins 2-day 23rd founding anniversary celebrations

RANGPUR, Nov 28, 2025 (BSS) – Rangpur Sahitya-Sanskriti Parishad (RSSP) began its 23rd founding anniversary celebrations with a two-day colourful programme on the city's Town Hall premises this afternoon. 
 
A painting and poetry recitation competition was held on the opening day of the two-day event, presided over by former RSSP president, writer and educationist Professor Mohammad Shah Alam. 
 
Later, a cultural programme was organized in the evening with RSSP songs. 
 
Poetry recitation, poetry reading and discussion were held at the same venue at night. 
 
Rangpur Cultural Unity Council president Chowdhury Mahmudun Nabi Dollar, former RSSP president, writer and physician Dr Mofizul Islam Mantu, former presidents Md Anwarul Islam, Swattik Shah Al Maruf and current president Dr Nasima Akhter and Vice-president Sunil Sarkar, adviser Narayan Chandra Barma and Professor Abdus Sobhan, convener of the event celebration committee Dilip Kumar Roy spoke at the discussion. 
 
RSSP general secretary Mamun Ur Rashid Mamun conducted the entire programme. 
 
On the concluding day of the two-day celebration, the general meeting of RSSP will be held at the Town Hall tomorrow (Saturday).
 
A special literary meeting, discussion, magazine cover unveiling, medal presentation, prize distribution and cultural program have been organized on the same stage tomorrow afternoon.
