NARSINGDI, Nov 29, 2025 (BSS) - Ekushey Television's district correspondent Makhan Das was elected president and UNB's district correspondent Asadul Haque Palash was elected general secretary of the Narsingdi Press Club in the bi-annual executive committee election held today.
Other office bearers are: Vice Presidents Kazi Anwar Kamal, district correspondent and editor of Bangladesh Betar and Haldhar Das, district correspondent of Bangladesher Alo; Joint General Secretary Md. Sohel S. Hossain, editor of Weekly Sonali Bangladesh; Treasurer Md. Faruk Mia, editor of Daily Narsingdir Bani; Literature, Culture & Sports Secretary Abul Bashar Bashir, district correspondent of Dainik Somoyer Alo; and Office Secretary Tofail Ahmed Swapon, district correspondent of DBC News
The elected executive members are Amzad Hossain, district correspondent of Daily Jaijaidin; ATM Mostafa (Babor), editor of Dainik Narsingdi Saradin; and Md. Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan, district correspondent of Daily Amar Barta.
Out of 61 eligible votes, 56 were cast in the election.
Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Superintendent of Police Md. Menhajul Alam, Civil Surgeon Syed Amirul Haque Shamim, and other senior officials congratulated the newly elected committee.
