
KHULNA, Dec 02, 2025 (BSS) - Different organisations on Tuesday offered doa
mahfil and prayers for the swift recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime
Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The Metropolitan Union of Journalists, Khulna (MUJ), organised a prayer
session seeking the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.
The dua mahfil was held after Zuhr prayers today at the union office in
Khulna Press Club.

Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ)
Ehteshamul Haq Shawon attended the event as the chief guest with MUJ Khulna
President Md. Rashidul Islam in the chair.
The discussion meeting was conducted by the union's General Secretary Abdur
Razzak Rana.
Among others, Khulna Press Club Member Secretary Rafiul Islam Tutul, Khulna
Newspaper Council General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Milton, former BFUJ
executive member HM Alauddin, MUJ Khulna Vice-President Md. Nuruzzaman, Joint
Secretary Ashraful Islam Nur, Treasurer Md. Rokibul Islam Moti, executive
members Ershad Ali and KM Jiaus Sadat addressed the event.
Meanwhile, prayers and Qur'an recitation sessions were held at Khulna Medical
College Hospital (KMCH) for the early recovery and long life of BNP
Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The programme was organised by Doctors' Association of Bangladesh (DAB), and
the Officer-Employee Unity Council of the hospital.
The dua programme took place after Zuhr prayers in the conference room of
KMCH.
The event was conducted by Sheikh Alimuzzaman, general secretary of the
Officer-Employee Unity Council.
Among others, DAB Khulna Medical College Hospital General Secretary Dr. Abu
Zafar M. Saleh Palash, Social Welfare Secretary Dr. Tajrul Islam Taj,
Hospital Director Dr. Kazi Mohammad Ainul Islam, Deputy Director Dr. Sujat
Ahmed, Assistant Director Dr. Kazi Ahsan Habib, Superintendent Dr. Md.
Akhtaruzzaman, Head of the Cardiology Department Dr. Mostafa Kamal, PGDTA
President Dr. Kamrul Huda Nishan, ENT Specialist Dr. Mafi Aminur Islam, along
with physicians from various departments, leaders of the intern doctors'
association, students of Khulna Medical College, nursing supervisors, and
officers and employees from different units of the hospital were present.
