NARSINGDI, Dec 7, 2025 (BSS) - A madrasa teacher was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Kishoreganj highway at Monohardi upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was Mostafa Joarder, 52, a resident of Sallabaid area of ??Ward No-6 of Monohardi Municipality. 

He was a teacher of Jalal Uddin Dakhil Madrasa in Purbachar Paratola of Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj district.

The accident took place in Monohardi Bus Stand area around 8.30 pm when a speedy motorcycle hit Mostafa while he was crossing the road.

Critically injured Mostafa was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Monohardi Police Station Mohammad Mahtabur Rahman confirmed the matter.
