RANGAMATI, Dec 7, 2025 (BSS)- BNP nominated candidate for Rangamati parliamentary constituency-299 and BNP national executive committee assistant secretary for religious affairs Advocate Dipen Dewan today said BNP believes in coexistence of all communities.

“If BNP comes to power in the next parliamentary elections, we all will work together to ensure coexistence of all communities in the hills and protect their rights,” he said.

Dipen Dewan made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a gathering to offer prayers for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and a view-exchange meeting arranged in support of the BNP candidate by Rangamati Barua  Janokallyan Sangstha here this afternoon.

Chaired by adviser to Rangamati Barua community and former civil surgeon of Rangamati Dr Supriyo Barua, the meeting was attended, among others, by Sanad Barua, retired headmaster of Rani Dayamoyi High School; District BNP President Dipan Talukder Dipu; its General Secretary Advocate Mamunur Rashid Mamun; Vice-President Advocate Saiful Islam Panir, and District Krishak Dal President Alok Priyo Barua Rintu.

Dipen Dewan said the people of the Barua community are very talented and smart. “You will move forward with your talent and ability,” he said.

He promised that if he is elected, he will move forward with all ethnic communities and called upon everyone to work for BNP in the next elections.

Sanad Barua said the Barua community is a very small one in Rangamati, while the infrastructural development that has taken place in their Buddhist monastery here only happened during the BNP era. “So this time, I hope the people will definitely vote after seeing the candidate.”

Later, special prayers were held in the monastery seeking the rapid recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.
