NILPHAMARI, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit his bike in Hajiganj Bazar area of Sadar upazila here this morning.

The deceased was Maruf Hossain, 35, son of Abdus Salam of Chatrashal village under Choorabargachha union of Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred on the Nilphamari-Nilsagar road when a truck hit the motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving its rider maruf dead on the spot, said Md. Zillur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station.

The OC said the body was recovered and handed over to the family after completing the legal process.
