Jamaat Islami MP candidates meet Manikganj DC, SP

MANIKGANJ, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) – All three Jamaat-e-Islami–nominated MP candidates in Manikganj district paid courtesy calls on the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) today.

The candidates first met Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sarwer Alam at his office and later called on Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana at her office.

The candidates are Dr Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, Jamaat candidate for Manikganj-1, Md Zahidur Rahman for Manikganj-2, and Maulana Md Delwar Hossain.

Manikganj district Jamaat Ameer Hafez Maulana Quamrul Islam, District Secretary Maulana Md Nurul Islam, former District Secretary Advocate Md Anwar Hossain, Manikganj Sadar Upazila Ameer Md Fazlur Rahman, and Manikganj Poura Ameer Md Humayun Kabir were present.

The DC and SP sought their cooperation in holding a free, fair, and participatory national election, adding that all candidates and their activists must abide by the election code of conduct.

The Jamaat-nominated MP candidates assured the officials of full cooperation in ensuring a free, fair, and participatory election.
