Such support programs have been taken by the government to improve their living standards and create alternative income opportunities.
The speakers also said that goat farming is a profitable and easily accessible venture. With proper care, it can become a permanent source of income for fishing families. As a result, on the one hand, the families will benefit financially, and on the other hand, their path to self-reliance will also be smooth.
The beneficiary fishermen welcomed the government's initiative and said that goat farming will create an additional source of income for their families and will play a helpful role in becoming economically self-reliant.
According to the Fisheries Department, such support programs will continue in the future to ensure the sustainable livelihood of registered fishermen.
