MANIKGANJ, June 9, 2026 (BSS) - Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route were suspended today due to a nor'wester, sources at Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) said.

BIWTC Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager Abdus Salam said ferry movement on the route has remained suspended from 4.30pm as the nor'wester swept across the Padma river route area.

The sources also said all engine-driven boats, speedboats and launches have remained suspended due to the inclement weather.
