Death toll in Indonesia floods rises to more than 300: disaster agency

PIDIE, INDONESIA, Indonesia, Nov 29, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The death toll from 
floods that hit Indonesia this week has risen to more than 300 people, 
according to figures from the disaster agency on Saturday.

The head of the national disaster mitigation agency Suharyanto told a news 
conference that 166 people were killed in North Sumatra, 47 in Aceh, and 90 
in West Sumatra after the area was hit by devastating floods.
