JERUSALEM, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Israel said on Tuesday it was preparing to receive from the Red Cross unspecified "elements" found in the Gaza Strip, where militants are still holding the bodies of two deceased hostages.
The statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office did not elaborate on what the elements were, but added they "will be examined by the National Center of Forensic Medicine".
The office added that authorities were in "continuous contact with the families of the two fallen hostages" -- Israeli Ran Gvili and Thai national Sudthisak Rinthalak.
Under the terms of a US-brokered ceasefire that went into effect in October, Palestinian militants have handed over 20 living hostages, and the remains of 26 out of 28 deceased ones.
