CA expresses deep condolence over deaths in Indonesia floods

DHAKA, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep condolences to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto over the loss of lives and widespread destruction caused by recent floods in Aceh, North and West Sumatra provinces of that country. 

"I have learnt with grave concern about the recent floods in Aceh, North and West Sumatra provinces of Indonesia, which have taken so many precious lives and caused widespread destruction," he wrote to the Indonesian President in a message on Monday. 

The Chief Adviser's Press Wing released the message here today.

"On behalf of the Government and the people of Bangladesh, I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathy on the deaths and destruction caused by the huge floods," Prof Yunus said, adding, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Government and the friendly people of Indonesia during this difficult time". 

Bangladesh stands ready to extend all possible support and assistance for a speedy recovery, he said, adding, "Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration".
