
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter termed the marine cadets as “brave warriors of the seas” as she urged them to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to shape their bright future and ensure the planned management of the country’s marine resources.
The adviser made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the 44th Passing Out Parade of the Marine Fisheries Academy here today.
Secretary of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Abu Taher Md Zaber attended the function as special guest, with Principal of the Marine Fisheries Academy Captain Mohammad Hasan in the chair.
The adviser also called upon the successful cadets to uphold virtues such as honesty, discipline, perseverance, punctuality and patriotism to develop themselves as worthy citizens of the country.
She expressed the hope that the cadets who have successfully completed their professional course would use their merit to brighten the country’s image and achieve professional excellence.
The adviser later distributed medals and certificates among the cadets.
A total of 110 cadets, including 17 female cadets, passed out in this year’s 44th batch of the Marine Fisheries Academy.
Senior officials of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry, Bangladesh Navy, Coast Guard, Shipping Ministry and the Directorates of Fisheries, Marine, Shipping and CPA were present at the passing-out parade held on the academy premises.
