DHAKA, Nov 12, 2025 (BSS)- Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed today administered the oath to 21 newly appointed permanent judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.
 
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Supreme Court Judges’ Lounge this afternoon, conducted by Supreme Court Registrar General Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiquee.
 
Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman, Supreme Court Bar Association President A M Mahbub Uddin Khokon, judges of both divisions of the Supreme Court, senior lawyers, and family members of the newly appointed judges were present at the ceremony, among others.
 
The government on November 11 appointed 22 additional judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court as permanent judges. The appointments were made by the President in consultation with the Chief Justice under Article 95 of the Constitution.
 
Of the 22, Justice Syed Enayet Hossain could not take the oath today as he is undergoing treatment.
 
The oath taking 21 judges of are: Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, Justice Md Mansur Alam, Justice Sayed Jahed Mansur, Justice K M Rasheduzzaman Raja, Justice Md Jabid Hossain, Justice Mubina Asaf, Justice Kazi Waliul Islam, Justice Aynun Nahar Siddiqua, Justice Md Abdul Mannan, Justice Tamanna Rahman Khalidi, Justice Md Shofiul Alam Mahmood, Justice Md Hamidur Rahman, Justice Nasreen Akter, Justice Shathika Hossain, Justice Syed Mohammed Tazrul Hossain, Justice Md Toufiq Inam, Justice Yousuf Abdullah Suman, Justice Sk Tahsin Ali, Justice Foyej Ahmed, Justice Md Sagir Hossain, and Justice Sikder Mahmudur Razi.
