Tarique Rahman thanks Chief Adviser for wishing Khaleda Zia's speedy recovery

DHAKA, Nov 28, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed his heartfelt thanks to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus for his concern over BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's illness and for urging the nation to pray for her quick recovery.

A press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi conveyed Tarique Rahman's gratitude.

"Tarique Rahman sincerely thanks the Chief Adviser for the courtesy and humane sentiment shown in his statement regarding the Nation's Leader Begum Khaleda Zia, who is currently undergoing treatment in hospital," the press release said.

Begum Khaleda Zia is receiving treatment in a critical condition at Evercare Hospital in the capital. Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus is closely monitoring her health and has instructed all relevant authorities to ensure full support and coordination for her proper treatment.

In his statement, the Chief Adviser said Begum Khaleda Zia remains a great inspiration for the nation during this period of democratic transition and her good health is of vital importance to the country.
