RAJSHAHI, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS)- Rajshahi University of Engineering and 
Technology (RUET) has decided to uplift its central library for the welfare 
of the students, teachers and researchers.

The decision was taken in the 35th meeting of the library improvement 
committee held with Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor SM Abdur Razzaque in the 
chair today.
 
Students Welfare Director Prof Rabiul Islam, Prof Mohibul Islam of the 
Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, Prof Abdul Wakil of the 
Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Prof Abdul Matin of the 
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering were present at the 
meeting.

Highlighting the importance of transforming the library into a knowledge-
based and more effective Prof Abdur Razzaque said the library is the 
heartbeat of a modern university. Utmost importance will be given to uplift 
the RUET central library, he added.

"Our prime goal is to ensure a technology-dependent and knowledgeable 
atmosphere for teachers, students and researchers," he opined.
