BGB seizes smuggled goods on Sherpur border

SHERPUR, Dec 7, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a large quantity of smuggled Indian Dove soap during a drive at the Karnajora border in Sribardi upazila of the district.

Acting on a secret tip-off, BGB personnel conducted a raid at the homestead of Rabbani in Boraikuchi village near the Karnajora border. During the operation, they recovered and seized 6,408 pieces of Indian Dove soap packed in 89 cartons, which had been illegally brought into the country.

Legal action has been initiated in connection with the seizure.
