DHAKA, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haq Nur today said road safety issue will be given priority in the party's manifesto for the forthcoming 13th National Parliamentary Polls.

He made the remark at the party's office in Bijoynagar while receiving a formal proposal from Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Road Safety Coalition Bangladesh regarding the inclusion of a "Road Safety Act" in the manifesto to ensure safe roads across the country, said a press release.

"Road safety is important for all. 'Road Safety Act' is essential to ensure the safety of everyone on the roads. Such a law would effectively reduce accidents and play a significant role in saving lives," he added.

Faruk Hasan, senior vice-president of Gono Odhikar Parishad, Hasan Al Mamun, spokesperson and senior joint secretary general of the party, Tariqul Islam, advocacy officer (Communication) of Dhaka Ahsania Mission's Road Safety Project and Monwarul Islam, advocacy officer (Policy), were present, among others, on the occasion.
