DHAKA, May 23, 2026 (BSS) – The price of jet fuel used in aircraft has been reduced by nearly Taka 40 per litre, with the new rate fixed at Taka 165.88 per litre for domestic flights.

For international flights, the new price is set at USD 1.0823 per litre, a reduction of USD 0.256.

The new rates will take effect after 12 midnight tonight and remain effective until further notice.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the decision in a statement issued today.

According to BERC, the prices for both domestic and international flights were adjusted in line with the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Act due to significant changes in international jet fuel prices.

Earlier, on May 7, BERC had fixed the jet fuel price at Taka 205.45 per litre for domestic flights and USD 1.3385 per litre for international flights.
