DHAKA, June 9, 2026 (BSS) - Responding to an appeal from a helpless father struggling to afford his child's treatment and medicines, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Central Joint General Secretary Md. Tarikul Islam Tariq has extended financial assistance to support the child's medical care.
According to sources, the father had been facing severe difficulties in bearing the expenses of his sick child's treatment. Owing to financial hardship, he was deeply concerned about continuing the treatment and purchasing the necessary medicines. In this situation, he contacted JCD leader Tariq and sought assistance.
Upon receiving the appeal, Tariq responded promptly. He provided the required financial support through a mobile banking service, enabling the child's treatment to continue without interruption.
Tariq is known for extending humanitarian assistance to helpless, poor and distressed people on various occasions. He regularly provides support in the areas of education, healthcare and other emergency needs.
Speaking on the matter, Tariq, a former elected general secretary of JCD's Salimullah Muslim Hall unit at Dhaka University, said, "People are for people. It is the responsibility of affluent and capable members of society to stand beside those in need. I have tried, within my capacity, to assist with the child's treatment. I would like to remain involved in such humanitarian activities in the future as well."
