Bangladesh bowl first in 2nd T20 to avoid series defeat

DHAKA, Nov 29, 2025 (BSS) - Ireland captain Paul Stirling won the toss and elected to bat first in the second T20 International against Bangladesh at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium today.

Ireland, who lead the three-match series 1-0 after a convincing 39-run win in the opener, are aiming for their first-ever T20 series triumph over Bangladesh. The hosts, on the other hand, are eager to bounce back and level the series ahead of the decider.

Bangladesh made three changes to their playing XI, bringing in Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mohammad Saifuddin, and Mahedi Hasan in place of Jaker Ali Anik, Shoriful Islam, and Rishad Hossain.

Ireland made a single change, with Ben Calitz coming in for Curtis Campher.
