DHAKA, June 9, 2026 (BSS) - FIDE Master Sakline Mostafa Sajid of Bangladesh 
Ansar now took solo lead in the points table with 5.5 points after the 6th 
round of the Leonine Chess Club Invitational FIDE Rating Chess tournament 
held at the club's hall room of Rangs-Nasim Square in Dhanmondi today 
(Tuesday).

International Master Md. Minhaz Uddin of Bangladesh Navy following the 
leaders with 4.5 points and International Master Monon Reja Neer of 
Bangladesh Navy is in 3rd position with 4 points.

In the day's 6th round matches, FIDE Master Sakline Mostafa Sajid defeated 
FIDE Master Sheikh Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy, IM Manon Reja Neer 
defeated FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia of Bangladesh Ansar, IM Md Minhaz Uddin 
defeated his teammate FIDE Master Khandaker Aminul Islam and IM Abu Sufian 
Shakil of Bangladesh Police Chess Club beat FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman of 
Manha's Castle. Tashriq Saihan Shan of Bangladesh Police Chess Club played 
with CM Sohel Chowdhury of Manha's Castle, the game was continued when the 
last report came this evening.
