DHAKA, Jan 3, 2024 (BSS) - The contractual appointment of Abu Hena Md
Rahmatul Muneem as chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and senior
secretary to the Internal Resources Division (IRD) has been extended for two
more years.

His new contract will come into effect on January 6, 2024 or the date of his
joining, said an official order issued by the Public Administration Ministry
today.

Muneem joined as senior secretary of IRD under the Finance Ministry and as
the NBR Chairman on January 6, 2020.
