DHAKA, Aug 25, 2024 (BSS) - NRBC Bank has donated Tk1 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and equivalent to one-day salary of all levels of employees for the flood-affected people.

In this regard, Tk 50 lakh has been donated to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund and the remaining Tk 50 lakh will be distributed to the affected people through the branches and sub-branches of the bank, said a press release.

A pay order of Tk 50 lakh was deposited in the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund account at the Principal Branch of Sonali Bank today.

Apart from this, food items and cash are being distributed among the affected people in Feni, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, Sylhet, and other flood-affected districts.

Parvez Tamal, Chairman of NRBC Bank, said financial support from CSR funds, disbursement of low-interest-free micro-loans will be increased to create employment and business activities and resume agricultural and other activities for the flood-affected people.
