DHAKA, Sept 11, 2024 (BSS) - The interim government has appointed Md Hafizur
Rahman, member of Bangladesh Competition Commission and former Additional
Secretary, as the administrator to the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).

The Ministry of Commerce today issued a circular in this regard under the
Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022.

According to the circular, the administrator would hand over the
responsibilities to the new elected body of the country's apex trade
organisation through holding a free and fair election within 120 days and
thus apprise the development to the Ministry.
