DHAKA, April 24, 2025 (BSS) - Stocks today extended its losing streak as the
risk-averse investors preferred to book profit on quick-gaining shares.

DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, plummeted by 49.9 points
to settle at 4,973 points, as against 5,022 points in the previous trading

confidence in the distressed market.

DSE being low at Taka 3.7 billion.

On the sectoral front, Food (22.6%) issues exerted the highest turnover,
followed by Fuel & Power (11.9%) and Bank (11.5%) sectors. Almost all the
sectors displayed dismal returns, out of which lute (-3.9%), IT (-2.8%) and
Paper (-2.7%) exerted the most corrections on the bourse today, while only
Fuel & Power (0.4%) exhibited marginal positive return.

unchanged.
