DHAKA, April 26, 2025 (BSS) – Distinguished Fellow of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) Dr. Mustafizur Rahman today said that political stability is indispensible for ensuring sustainable investment in the country.

He said that the recently held Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 has created scopes for attracting more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country.

Dr Mustafizur also noted that if investment-friendly environment continues in the country, then Bangladesh would be able to prosper further in the coming years.

The CPD Distinguished Fellow said this while addressing a shadow parliament as the chief guest on ‘the potentials and challenges of FDI in the country’ held at BFDC in the capital.

Debate for Democracy organized the event with its Chairman Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron in the chair, said a press release here.

Dr Mustafizur alleged that during the previous AL regime, dissimilarities were there in the investment statistics as only $11 billion FDI came during the Seventh Five Year Plan period although it mentioned about attracting $33 billion.
