French economy grows 0.1% in first quarter: official data

PARIS, April 30, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - France's economy grew slightly in the first three months of the year, the statistics office said on Wednesday, with activity dampened by sluggish household consumption and stagnant investment.

Gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 0.1 percent between January and March, a return to quarter-on-quarter growth after a 0.1 percent contraction in the fourth quarter.
