He said the United Kingdom (UK) and particularly England would be the single largest destination of Bangladeshi mangoes while the 600 tonnes were exported in the past 16 days to different destinations.

According to the official per kilogram mango was being exported at prices ranged between US$5 and US$5.5 but the freight charge cost most part of the amount which ranged between US$3 and US-$4.

Officials concerned said Bangladesh last year exported 1,320.398 tonnes of mangos to 21 countries.

In line with export volume respectively the countries were the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Italy, Qatar, Singapore, Germany, Bahrain, Sweden, Canada, France, Maldives, Switzerland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Oman, Malta, Greece, Lebanon and the Netherlands.
