DHAKA, Aug 2, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh received US$2.859 billion in workers'
remittances during July 2026, the first month of fiscal year 2026-27, marking
a 15.4 percent increase compared with the US$2.478 billion received in the
same month of the previous fiscal year.
According to the latest data, expatriate Bangladeshis sent US$152 million in
remittances during the last two days of July (July 30-31), contributing to
the month's total inflow.
The steady growth in remittance earnings is expected to strengthen the
country's foreign exchange reserves and provide continued support to the
external sector.
