CHATTOGRAM, January 9, 2024 (BSS)-A devastating fire gutted five dwelling houses at Isakhali union under Mirsari upazila of the district today.

The fire originated from an electric short-circuit at a dwelling house in the area at around 10 am and quickly engulfed the adjoining houses, said Imam Hossain Patwari, Station Officer of Mirsari Fire Service and Civil Defense.

Having information, a fire fighting unit from Mirsari upazila headquarters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after a frantic effort at 6 am.
