CHAPAINAWABGANJ, January 14, 2024 (BSS): Fresher’s reception and parents day was held at Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute here today.

The function was held at the auditorium of the Institute with the principal of the institute Eng AJM Masudur Rahman in the chair while superintendent of police (SP) of Chapainawabganj Md Saidul Hasan attended it as chief guest.

Chief Instructor of the Electrical Technology Department Afida Rahman gave the welcome speech.

Among others, Chief Instructor of non-technology (Chemistry) Department Durga Charan Roy, Chief Instructor of Food Technology Department Dr. Md. Ariful Alam, president of Mess Owners Association Alhaj Al Amin, general secretary Shah Alam, guardian Afjal Hossain, special correspondent of Asian TV Faisal Azam Apu and student Fazle Rabbi spoke on the occasion.

The chief guest asked the guardians to take care of their sons and daughters regularly so that they cannot get involved in anti-social activities.

He also asked the students to remain away from drugs and sharing and giving 'like' to any post or comment without understanding.

He also stressed on ethical learning, respecting the guardians and elderly people and building up themselves to be worthy to build Smart Bangladesh. The principal disclosed that a total of 950 students have got admitted in six

Technologies including Computer, Electrical, Electronics, RAC, Food and Nutrition in the 2023-2024 session.

The total number of students in the Institute is about 3,500, he added.
