BHOLA, July 17, 2024 (BSS) - Protest rally, human chain and peace rally were held in the district today against the insult of the Father of the Nation, the Prime Minister and the valiant freedom fighters in the name of quota cancellation movement.
 
The programs were organized by the District Muktijoddha (freedom fighters) Sangsad and Muktijoddha Sangsad Children’s Command.
 
A protest rally was bought out from the Notun Bazar Muktijoddha Sangsad Bhaban in the town which paraded the important streets and ended coming in front of the Bhola Press Club   and held a human chain there this morning.
 
Brave freedom fighters and children of freedom fighters participated in the rally and human chain.
 
Later, a peace rally was held at the Zilla Parishad auditorium this morning organized by the Muktijoddha Sangsad.
 
Former commander of the District Freedom Fighters Sangsad Dost Mahmud presided over the function.
 
District Awami League President Fazlur Quader Majnu Molla, former deputy commander of Muktijoddha Sangsad Safiqul Islam, veteran Muktijoddha M. Habibur Rahman, former upazila commander of Muktijoddha Sangsad Ahidur Rahman, district Awami League leader Safiqul Islam, president of Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command Mohammad Sulaiman Mia, among others, spoke.
