SYLHET, July 17, 2024 (BSS) -  Two motorcycle riders were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the  Zakiganj-Sylhet road in Kaliganj Ballah area under Zakiganj upazila of the district  last night (Tuesday).
 
The deceased were identified as Jahangir Hossain, 16, son of Abdus Sattar, resident of East Khorosti village in Darpnagar east union of Kanaighat upazila, and Marjan Ahmad, 17, son of Ebadur Rahman of Manikpur village of the same union.
 
The accident occurred in the area when three teenagers were going to Kanaighat riding a motorcycle from Zakiganj. On the way, their bike collided head-on with another motorcycle around 10:30 pm last night, leaving four riders of both motorbikes seriously injured, Zakiganj Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Sukant Chowdhury said.
 
The injured were taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctor declared two of them dead, the police official said.
 
Police seized a motorcycle  from the spot, he added.
