SUNAMGANJ, Oct 29, 2024 (BSS) - A woman and her son were hacked to death by

some unidentified miscreants at their house in Hasan Nagar area of the town
today.

The deceased were Farida Begum, 45, and her son Minhaj, 20. They used to live
in Hasan Nagar area under Sunamganj town and came from Shantiganj upazila.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies from the
house. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sunamganj Model Thana Nazmul Haque said the
murder could have happened early this morning.

He said Farida's elder sister used to live next to her room with her son
Foysal who was unseen since the murder. Police found her [elder sister}
senseless at the house and admitted her to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital later,
the OC added.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been asked to investigate the
murder, Nazmul Haque said.
