RANGAMATI, Oct 30, 2024 (BSS)- Sale of essential commodities in open market has been inaugurated in this hill district to help the consumers buy kitchen market items at fair price.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rangamati Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan inaugurated the OMS programme at Pourashava market.

District administration and the market taskforce arranged the OMS being managed by the students of anti-discrimination movement.

Different vegetables items and eggs are being sold in the market.

Deputy Commissioner said the OMS programme will continue as long as people would have interest in it to keep the price of essentials under control.

Senior officials of various departments and coordinators of Rangamati anti-discrimination student movement were present.
