SUNAMGANJ, Oct 31, 2024 (BSS) - Police in a joint drive arrested a youth over allegations of killing a mother and her son in Hasan Nagar area of the district town on Tuesday night.

Being informed, a team of police conducted a drive in Savar area around 8 pm last night and arrested Fahmid, a resident of Bishwamvarpur upazila in Sunamganj district, said Superintendent of Police AFM Anowar Hossain Khan.

A woman and her son were hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants at their house in Hasan Nagar area of Sunamganj town on Tuesday.

Officer-in-Charge of Sunamganj Sadar Police Station Nazmul Haque said they are searching for the others involved in the murder.
