NATORE, Nov 25, 2024 (BSS) - Speakers at a view-exchange meeting in the district underscored the need for building a discrimination-free, youth-based, developed, prosperous and accountable Bangladesh.
They said the role of students in the mass uprising is undeniable as they played a leading role in the movement. So, students have to develop themselves as worthy citizens of the country by acquiring knowledge.
District information office arranged the meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office this morning with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Asma Shaheen in the chair.
The speakers also said that Bangladesh has awakened with the power of youth, so the country will have to move forward by utilizing this immense potential.
For this, the youth must be protected and enriched through quality research-based and technology-based education.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Masudur Rahman moderated the function and District Information Officer Md. A. Awal delivered the welcome speech.
Dr. Jahangir Alam, Assistant Professor of Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula Government College presented the keynote paper.
Among others, District Fisheries Officer Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Deputy Director of the Narcotics Control Department Md. Lutfar Rahman, Additional Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) Shamsun Nahar Bhoian, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Executive Director of the Non-Governmental Development Organization 'Alo' Shamima Laiju Nila and president of the Natore Press Club Faraji Ahmed Rafiq Baban, also spoke on the occasion.
Officials and employees of the district information office, among others, were present.
