HABIGANJ, Nov 26, 2024 (BSS) - The district administration here today organized a memorial meeting in memory of the injured and martyrs in the student-people mass uprising of July-August.

The meeting was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner's office.

Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr Md Faridur Rahman, the meeting was attended, among others, by chief executive officer Md Nurul Islam, additional deputy commissioner Prabhangshu Som Mohan, additional police super Shahidul Haque Munsi, Habiganj Sadar upazila nirbahi officer Ranjan Chandra Dey, injured student Ishtiak Ahmed and Tusti Rani Shil, wife of martyr Ripon Shil.

After the meeting, financial assistance was distributed among the martyrs families and injured persons.
