BNP stands by Bashkhali fire victims' families

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has provided aid to five families who earlier fell victim to a devastating fire at Baharchhara union under Bashkhali upazila of the district.

At the instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Chattogram South District BNP Joint Convener Miskatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa handed over the relief assistance, including gifts and cash, yesterday, according to the Facebook page of BNP media cell. 

The fire incident was reportedly caused by an electric short circuit and affected five houses.

The victims are Abdul Kader, Rafiq Ahmed, Ahmed Ullah, Mostafa Ali, and Chaber Ahmed of Paschim Bashkhala village of the union.

Chattogram South District BNP member Master Mohammad Lokman, South District Jubo Dal former organizing secretary Advocate Sawkat Osman, Upazila Swechhasebak Dal convener Hefaz Uddin Chowdhury, and leaders of Upazila BNP and allied organizations were present, among others.
