One held with 5 gold bars in Jashore

JASHORE, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today arrested a man and seized five gold bars from his possession from Murli intersection of Sadar upazila of the district.

The arrestee was Abu Bakar Siddique, 26.

On a tip-off, a team of BGB raided in the area and arrested Bakar. They recovered five gold bars (697 grams) worth about Taka 1.11 crore, said BGB 49 Battalion Captain Lieutenant Colonel Saifullah Siddique.

The arrestee was handed over to Kotowali Thana.

A case has been filed in this regard.
