Mobile court disconnects illegal gas connections in Daudkandi

DAUDKANDI (CUMILLA), Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company Limited (BGDCL), in a drive, has permanently disconnected a total of 79 illegal burners along with dismantling seven risers. 

The BGDCL Area Distribution Office, Gauripur conducted a mobile court yesterday at Daudkandi in Cumilla to disconnect illegal gas connections, said a PID release today. 

Besides, two residential connections being used for commercial purposes and another two for using additional burners without approval were disconnected. 

Around 100 feet of MS pipe and 10 regulators were seized from illegal connections during the operation.

For illegal gas connection and its use, fines were imposed on four persons amounting to Taka 10,000 each and two others Taka 50,000 each, totaling Taka 1.40 lakh realized on the spot, it added.
