Prayer held in Barishal seeking recovery of Khaleda Zia

BARISHAL, Dec 10, 2025 (BSS) - A prayer ceremony was organized in the district today seeking the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The program, arranged by leaders and activists of Barishal Metropolitan BNP and its 30 ward units, took place at 1 pm at the historic Ashwini Kumar Hall on Sadar Road.

Following the prayers, a preparatory meeting was held to discuss the formation of the party's election committee ahead of the upcoming national elections.

Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar, advisor to the BNP Chairperson and the party's nominated candidate for the Barishal Sadar-5 constituency, attended the event as the chief guest.

During the meeting, Sarwar and other leaders discussed strategies and committee formation for the forthcoming elections.

Among those present were Barishal Metropolitan BNP convener Moniruzzaman Khan Faruk, District BNP member secretary Advocate Abul Kalam Shahin, Former Metropolitan member secretary Advocate Mir Jahidul Kabir Zahid, joint convener Jasim Uddin, and the presidents and general secretaries of the 30 ward units.
