GAIBANDHA, Dec 16, 2025 (BSS) - District branch of Anjuman Mufidul Islam has distributed wheelchairs to 24 persons with disabilities, including physically challenged individuals.
The distribution ceremony was held on Monday at the organization's town office in the afternoon, chaired by its Vice President Abdul Latif Hakkani.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development & Human Resources Management) AKM Hedayetul Islam attended the programme as the chief guest and handed over the wheelchairs.
The initiative was funded by local philanthropists and Bangladeshi expatriates. Speaking at the event, ADC Hedayetul Islam thanked Anjuman Mufidul Islam and urged well-off members of society to support the organization's efforts to help the needy.
Anjuman Mufidul Islam district branch vice president Anwarul Quadir Phul Miah, general secretary Advocate ASM Humayun Kabir, joint secretary Shahiduzzaman Shahid, and member Omor Zahid Khokon were present at the time.
