Army distributes humanitarian aid ahead of Christmas in Bandarban

BANDARBAN, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Bandarban Army Zone organized a humanitarian aid programme on Sunday on the occasion of Christmas, in the Chattogram Hill Tracts.

The programme was held at the premises of the Bandarban Army Zone, where assistance was distributed among committee members and residents of 39 churches across different areas of the hill district.

Financial support was also provided to more than 300 underprivileged families.

As part of the initiative, essential materials including awnings, corrugated iron sheets and cash were distributed to support construction and renovation work of religious and community facilities.

Bandarban Army Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Humayun Rashid attended the event as the chief guest. Zone Deputy Commander Major Nafiu Siddiqui Roman, other army officials, and journalists from various print and electronic media were also present.
