Coast Guard holds free medical camp for underprivileged in Mongla

KHULNA, Mar 10, 2026 (BSS): Bangladesh Coast Guard organized a free medical camp for poor and underprivileged people at Joymoni area under Mongla upazila of Bagerhat district on Monday.

Coast Guard Media Officer Lt Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon informed the matter on Monday evening.

He said Bangladesh Coast Guard has been providing various forms of assistance to disadvantaged communities living in coastal and riverine areas as part of its humanitarian initiatives.

Continuing the initiative, the medical camp was held from 10 am to 1 pm at Joymoni Government Primary School under Mongla Police Station in Bagerhat district under the management of Bangladesh Coast Guard Base Mongla.

Around 200 poor, helpless and underprivileged people, including children, received free medical check-ups and necessary medicines at the camp, Lt Cdr Sujon informed.
